Ciao! Grazie mille in anticipo e buon proseguimento! Beric Dondarrion (talk) 12:11, 24 January 2023 (UTC)

Source of derivative work is not properly indicated: File:Salvini Berlusconi Meloni.jpg[edit]
This file may be deleted. |
A file that you have uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, File:Salvini Berlusconi Meloni.jpg, is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such works would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a map that has been altered from the original. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.
While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. Please edit the file description and add the missing information, or the file may be deleted. If you created the original content yourself, enter this information as the source. If someone else created the content, the source should be the address to the web page where you found it, the name and ISBN of the book you scanned it from, or similar. You should also name the author, provide verifiable information to show that the content is in the public domain or has been published under a free license by its author, and add an appropriate template identifying the public domain or licensing status, if you have not already done so. Please add the required information for this and other files you have uploaded before adding more files. If you need assistance, please ask at the help desk. Thank you! |

Hello again Nick! I was wondering if you could extract a crop of PM Thatcher in 1982 (8639737447).jpg for infobox use (at Premiership of Margaret Thatcher)? Thanks! ᴀlbanɢeller (talk) 19:53, 27 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Neveselbert (mobile): Hi! Yes of course: File:PM Thatcher in 1982 (cropped).jpg. -- Nick.mon (talk) 20:34, 27 February 2023 (UTC)
Hi Nick, could you extract a better crop of this image for infobox use on en:Liz Truss? Thanks again, ᴀlbanɢeller (talk) 21:23, 15 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Neveselbert (mobile): Hi, here's the cropped version: File:Official portrait of Liz Truss (cropped).jpg. -- Nick.mon (talk) 23:42, 16 March 2023 (UTC)

Hi Nick, would you mind extracting a crop of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak arrives in Downing Street.jpg for infobox use? All the best, ᴀlbanɢeller (talk) 18:48, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
- Hi ᴀlbanɢeller! I've updated the version currently in use: File:Rishi Sunak's first speech as Prime Minister (crop).jpg. -- Nick.mon (talk) 07:37, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks Nick, though do you think you could crop it to make the height a bit longer, extending just above the tip of the oval on the podium? I'm thinking something similar to what you were able to do with Prime Minister John Major (cropped).jpg. ᴀlbanɢeller (talk) 17:56, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
- I think it would be better to upload the crop separately, as the version you updated has been reverted. ᴀlbanɢeller (talk) 17:16, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Neveselbert (mobile): Maybe this one: File:Prime Minister Rishi Sunak arrives in Downing Street (cropped).jpg -- Nick.mon (talk) 15:27, 30 March 2023 (UTC)
- That looks better, but I think the semicircle at the bottom is distracting. I also think a little rotation, maybe not as much as last time, could be good, though for best results it's best to do it from the original to avoid quality loss (from JPEG compression). Thanks as always, ᴀlbanɢeller (talk) 17:32, 31 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Neveselbert (mobile): Done! I hope this new version looks better :) -- Nick.mon (talk) 10:10, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you. ᴀlbanɢeller (talk) 18:56, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Neveselbert (mobile): You're welcome!! -- Nick.mon (talk) 20:34, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
- Hey Nick, hope everything's good on your end. Unfortunately, the new version has met some resistance on Wikipedia because of the rotation. I was just hoping if you could do one more crop from the original without the rotation, while keeping roughly the same dimensions? Many thanks and much appreciated as always, ᴀlbanɢeller (talk) 20:00, 5 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Neveselbert (mobile): No problems, I've updated a new version of the same file, without the rotation :) -- Nick.mon (talk) 22:27, 5 April 2023 (UTC)
